We’re hiring: Apply for be our new finance and administration officer (part-time)

We’re looking for a part-time finance and administration officer to improve the management of the organisation as we embark on an exciting phase of growth.

We harness the power of investigative journalism and storytelling to catalyse change that will protect the environment and human rights. Since the project began in 2017, our reporting has focused principally on Indonesia. We operate on a partnership model, collaborating with larger media organisations to maximise our reach and impact.

As an equal opportunity employer, The Gecko Project values diversity and continuously strives to maintain an inclusive and equitable workplace.

Essential skills/experience

  • Experience using Xero or other accounting software.

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and improve processes.
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to handle objections and questions professionally, providing robust and rational responses.
